What differentiates you from other headshot photographers?
I believe that getting a great image starts with the client being comfortable in front of the camera. I know proven techniques to get the best image. Subtle movements can make a huge difference in the out come of an image. Any photo shoot is an experience and as the session moves along my hope is your images get better and better through coaching and specific direction. I will guide you through changing the mouth, eyes and eyebrows on the face so each part works together to get a memorable expression. My portfolio work is on this site, Please take look at the kind of work I do and the style I shoot on a daily basis.
-
How long does a session take?
For individual clients I provide as much time as need to get great images. Each session is different. Just like anything that takes time there is a period where the client needs to acclimate to being in front of the camera. My main goal is to not rush the process. Once we take a few images I will bring you out from behind the lens so we can review and talk about the images. This usually has the greatest impact on the rest of the shoot as we talk about what works and what may need a slight tweak.
-
Do I really need a Makeup Artist?
Not at all. Typically males should not wear any make up. Females should wear very light makeup to cover blemishes and a light foundation. If any female clients feel more comfortable they can bring a makeup artist on site or just do their own makeup.
-
Do you offer corporate headshots?
Absolutely! Most of my work is for corporate clients.
I offer a consistent look for all your staff that will work well for any team, board of directors or senior team. Please contact me with the exact details of your needs and I can provide a quote for your company. I will bring my equipment to your site and do all photography at your premises as long as you have a large room. This is mainly for my studio lights and portable backgrounds. Typically we will choose one look and get the entire group of employees to have similar types of images.
-
What should I expect to receive after the shoot is completed?
During the shoot we will have you approve the images to make sure they meet you expectations. After the shoot I will provide a link to my passcode protected proofing site. This will give you some time to select the images you want in your package.

What should I wear to my session?
General Guidelines
Bring more than one outfit. If you don’t bring we can’t shoot it.
Wear something you love and you feel looks good on you. Please avoid loud or bright colors. When taking a headshot you want to set the focus on the most important part of the image, your face not necessarily your clothing. For business clients I would suggest:
Women- Light blouse with a blazer or fitted jacket.
Men- White or light colored shirt and a suit jacket with a tie.
Limit or eliminate jewelry. (Such as necklaces or large ear rings.)
Black Turtlenecks are also very classic. If you have one please bring it. I do have turtleneck shirts for both men and women at my studio and you are welcome to use them for your session.
